M28 Automobile wheel torque transducers

The M28 Torque Transducers are used to measure torque introduced in the rolling wheels of a vehicle under operational conditions. The torque transducers are mounted to a vehicle by means of the hub adapter and the modified wheel rim. The wheel torque transducers are designed with the digital multi-channel telemetry system for contactless transmission of the measured torque data from the rotating wheel and for a precise rotation speed measurement. Moreover, the telemetry system offers additional channels, which can be used to acquire other physical parameters on the vehicle wheels such as brake temperature or tire temperature and pressure. For maximum signal resolution two switchable measuring ranges are available. There are two types of telemetry assemblies to ensure that the transducer can be fitted to any car under test: end of the shaft and tubular. The end of the shaft telemetry assembly is intended to mount on the outer side of the wheel while the tubular type to the inner side.

The design of the transducer permits fast and easy installation onto the vehicle. Test rides in the public traffic are possible with the tubular type of telemetry assemblies because no parts are projecting over the contour of the car.
